Hello and I hope you wood like to read this piece of writing. In Scotland back in 1802 a Scottish priest found out how to make a gun fire without smoke coming out of the gun. In more modern times a Scottish company in Glasgow built scopes for the British assault rifle which is called the SA80. Billy Connelly is the funniest comedian and a very good actor and he is from Scotland. And this year 2007 a man figured how to make water burn.

I like scotland because they are freindly ,good parks, castles, cathedrals and scottish dancing, Saint Andrew is pantrent saint of Scotland. The Scottish flag is a blue background witha white cross. In 1970 oil discovered in the North sea. In 1999 the Scottish parloment formed. Robert Burns is a world famous poet. We have wonderful scenery, wild animals and the queen live at Balmoral Castle when she holidays in Scotland. The Thistle is Scotlands national flower. We eat haggis, oatcakes. We make alot of cheese. We breed salmon and we have fresh fish around the stores. The capital of Scotland is Edinbrugh and this is were our parlement sits. Many famous battles have taken place in Scotland.

why scotland is great there is lots of parks and restraunts.Also pepole is nice there are nice view there is hagerson castles,lock ness and all that there are lots of shopping malls.when it is hot everyone comes out and when it is rainny pepole dont come out.There is lots of pubs and older pepole go to the pub.The food is nice and the juice is nice.There are lots of schools.There is lots of job centres.The teachers in scotland are fantastic.there is lots of bands that play in scotland.There are famus pepole in scotland like robert burns,peter kay,billy connly.There are lots of familys in scotland.There are lots of famus dances like dashing white sargent,milutre two step

scotland is great because we have great sights like ben lomand and loads of more . Scottish people are funny and very friendly. The scottish also made the telephone and televison. Lots of scottish comedians are very famous. There are lots of movies based on Scotland like brave heart. There are lots of characters from movies that are scottish. We have our own food, games and dances these are some examples haggis, highland fling and javelling. This is why scotland is great.

Scotland is great becase…. It has the oldest village in the WORLD! It is located in Orkney ( a Scottish Island ).It is also famous for the Jacobite Rebellion in the seventeen hundreds and famous for its many mysteries, the most popular is the Loch Ness monster. A very interesting fact is a scotsman invented TV and another one invented the telephone. Scottish people are funny!!! There are lots of comedians in Scotland. Orkney is very historical, there is lots of standing stones and cairns ( Ancient Tombs ). St Andrew is the patrion saint of Scotland.

Scotland is a great country because it has lots of water to help things grow. Unfortunately for us to get a lot of water it has to rain a lot too!
I like water but I don’t like rain!

Scotland is great because there are alot of things that you can go to like castles, swimming pools and clubs. It is small on a map but it is quite big.There is Robert Burns that people can do in Schools. You can go shopping and go to Restrauntsyou can go and eat. There is very good bands in Scotland. In schoolyou sometimes do dancing like the Gay Gordons and Miltrey too step.

Why People should visit Scotland

Scotland is a great place to come because their is Cathedrals, Churchs other things like Playareas for you to go to with your children. There is Restraunts that you can go to like a Fish and Cips shop.

Scotland has a famous monster (Nessy). We also have great Scottish dances for e.g. Gay Gordans. We have great Scottish poets, comedians, shops ect. We have great Scottish pies haggis, neeps and tatties ect. We were kilts and I like Scotland because we have great teachers. We are all very kind and Scotland is the best counrty in the universe!!! Did you know a Scottish man invented T.V.?

Scotland is fabulous because of lots of things. There’s miles of trees, hills and beautiful scenery such as Edinburgh Castle, Loch Ness and Glasgow Cathedral. The weather isn’t perfect but lets plants, flowers and forests flourish! Entertainment is jolly and joyful with lots of laughs and dancing. Our Patron Saint is St Andrew who was crucified on an X-like cross and Ireland’s Patron Saint is Scottish too. We’ve also got a cool pattern, tartan that’s considered as fashion everywhere. Lots of famous people are Scottish, Billy Conolly, Robert Burns, William Wallace and loads more. We are great singers like K.T. Tunstall, Fratellis and The Proclaimers.
