We’re Movie Makers!!

We are making movies as a school project. One group is doing an alien invasion movie. One group is doing a news comedy. Some girls are making a music video. Another group is doing a video set in Victorian times. And the last group are singing a song on video that they have written.

If our videos are good, we may put them on our blogging site so you could see them.

I (James) am working with the group who is making an alien invasion movie. The movie starts with a news reporter giving a news flash about the invasion last week.  Two aliens called Leilian and Jamma are coming to invade the world. They were going to translate their language into English but the translater fell out of Jamma’s pocket. I won’t tell you anymore, you’ll just have to wait to see it!

I (Alan) am working with a group who are making a video of a song we have written. We chose a piece of music and we are going to put our words to it. We’re are going to sing this song in our video.  I’m not going to tell you any more, but hopefully you will see it soon.

Stormy Weather!!

The weather this week has been getting worse! Lots of places are being flooded, but luckily we haven’t been flooded - well, not yet!
Some parts of England and Wales have been affected. They have had heavy rain and severe gales. Lots of houses have been damaged.

I don’t think the weather is very good. I wouldn’t like us to be flooded because you wouldn’t be able to go out to play.

Squinty Bridge Nightmare!

Last night, Tuesday 15th January, one of the cables from the Squinty bridge crashed down onto the road because of the bad weather we have been getting, causing a shockwave.  We hope it will get fixed soon because it’s just been built. It’s been less than 18 months since it was built and it cost £20 million to build.  They are going to check the other 13 steel cables to see if they are damaged. If all of the cables snap, the bridge will fall down!

I’ve been across the bridge once and I pass it every day. Luckily nobody got injured as the bridge was empty when the cable fell.
