During the May weekend we had some very hot weather. This is what I did during the two VERY hot days:
On Monday I went to Leila’s house. We went to Scotland Street School Musem and got to see old classrooms. There were fifties and sixities, World War 2 and Victorian classrooms. We got to use Victorian ink pens and had to write in very fancy writing. When we got home we had a barbecue. I had chips, sausages and a cheeseburger.
The next day I went to my gran and grandad’s house. It was even hotter than the Monday so we had ice-cream. My mum got a basin and put freezing water in it. Me and my sister put our feet init but took them back out because it was very cold. We then kept on putting our feet in and then jumping out screaming.
I had a really hot weekend and I hope everyone else has too.

We have just come back to school from our spring break! I went to Dundee for three days in the holiday. I went with my mum, my dad and my sister Erin. We got there at lunchtime so we went to Greggs for lunch. I got a sausage roll and a cookie. We went to the Science Centre which had lots of things about your senses. The next day we went ice-skating. I was scared because the last time I went ice-skating I fell over and spraint my wrist. But I didn’t fall over once. That evening we went to a place called Brotty Ferry. I had fish, chips and ice-cream. On the way home we went swimming. There was a wave pool every half an hour, a current which pulls you round a part of the pool and four scary slides! I went on the wave pool and the current. After that we went home. I loved my holiday!
In our assembly hall everyone in the school came to watch primary 4-7s performing. One was a Snow White show, another was a Roald Dahl poem and there were three singing performances! And some of the girls in our class did a scene from a book called The Witches also by Roald Dahl. They were all fantastic!
We had colouring competition for the lower school and a bookmark competition for the upper school. The prizes were given out for that on the day too. Our school has had a fabulous Book Week and I hope your school has too!

Because of World Book Day last week our school is having a book fair. Incase you didn’t know, a book fair is when shelves are set up in a room with books on them and you can buy the books to keep. Every class has a day to look at the books and write down the books you want. The next day they go to buy the books they want the most. You don’t have to buy any books. The books I have chosen are: Cakes and Cookies-a book with lots of recipes for cakes and cookies. The Ladybird Code-a girl called Minnie Piper tries to figure out the ladybird code. Undercover Agent-Minnie Piper tries to be a secret agent.
I hope I get all the books I want. Book fairs are great fun!

Children in an Edinburgh school called Liverton Primary had a fun afternoon putting together a GIANT Scotland puzzle! It was in Dynamic Earth on Wednesday. All the children who helped had a great time and managed to finish the puzzle. Alot of people wondered if they would finish it, especially the Msp’s who were invited to watch. This was mainly because it was so big. The people who made it want to take it round all the schools in Scotland. It sounded great fun! I wonder if our school will do it?
