Last Friday our school held a book fair event. Volunteers had to perform a scene from a book they got at the book fair. Our class only had 6 volunteers. They were all girls so they played a scene of the witches. Other acts were: snow white, hannah montana, pig. Those acts were my favorites. I really liked it all.

Last Friday, our school had different performances from lots of books because it was World Book Day. P.4 - P.7 took place in this and the rest of the school got to watch. The P3/4 acted out a scene from ‘The Magic Kittens’, P4 said thank you to all the teachers for the new books we have and the P5 dressed up as lots of different Roald Dahl characters and recited a Roald Dahl poem called ‘The Pig’. P5/6 (my class) acted out a remix of ‘The Witches’ and got turned into rabbits insted of mice, P6 did part of Hannah Montana and two people in P6/7 sand a song from High School Musical. P7 did a few things and they were:
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and two songs from High School Musical.

On Tuesday, we went to look at books that the school book fair had provided us with. Our teacher gave us a bit of paper to list books that we liked the look of, so that wouldn’t forget the name of them. At the book fair, they had a section for infants and a section for ages from primary four to primary seven. The book fair had helpers who went round picking up random books and reccomending them. I do like picking books myself, but the way they recommended the book, I would have bought the whole lot!!! I was looking for adventure books when i went in, but on the way out, i liked the comedy books as well. Today we go back to pay for the books. Mrs Gardner will take cheques or money. I am really looking forward to reading my books. Also in association with the book fair, we did a bookmark competition with a motto. Mine was Read at your leisure, enjoy the pleasure. I never won, but it was fun. Anyway, the book fair is really, really fun!!! Rachael

Because of World Book Day last week our school is having a book fair. Incase you didn’t know, a book fair is when shelves are set up in a room with books on them and you can buy the books to keep. Every class has a day to look at the books and write down the books you want. The next day they go to buy the books they want the most. You don’t have to buy any books. The books I have chosen are: Cakes and Cookies-a book with lots of recipes for cakes and cookies. The Ladybird Code-a girl called Minnie Piper tries to figure out the ladybird code. Undercover Agent-Minnie Piper tries to be a secret agent.
I hope I get all the books I want. Book fairs are great fun!

The book fair comes with book for us to buy. The book fair is a great thing because it in encourages children to read. The book fair has got a lot of good books like horror, fiction, non fiction, fact. So the book fair can give you a lot of choices of books. Most people get the books. But this year I have chosen not to get any books.
